There is no doubt that creativity is a critically important factor in the success of our career and life. It is not a factor being of a high value only to writers, journalists, artists, dancers, or musicians, but also to business people e.g. looking for a new ways to close a sales project; non-profit managers, who want to find another business partner, bankers launching innovative product; CEOs considering to apply new organization structure; marketing teams interested to get an inspiration for a new advertising campaign; finance executives and many more. It is also for parents who want their children to see the world in more than one way.

Why Creativity is an important factor in our personal and business growth?
Creativity is a key ingredient of the success, as it could have an impact on the strategy, marketing or business processes in the organization. It is as important as mapping out competition or maintaining good margins. A recent Boston Consulting Group survey covering nearly 50 countries and all sorts of businesses reported that 9 out of 10 senior executives believe generating growth through innovation is essential for success in their industry.

The creativity comes in when you must offer something different and compelling. In fact there is a lack of a specific systems to nurture, expand and manage your creative vision. The need for creativity in the business world is increasing, however the supply is on the decreasing trend.

Creativity could also support people in building a personal growth. They can keep their eyes wider open and see more perspective in their lives. People who want to live a creative life must create their lives entirely their own way. Their long-term goals should reflect their most important creative aspirations.

 

For the traditional creative, such as writers, musicians, performers, designers, expanding creativity is necessary for sparking new ideas. They need to stay engaged over the long term, as they need to produce continually on demand. Thus being innovative needs to be cultivated.

Can the Innovation Capacity be expanded?
Each person is a powerful imaginative store. The innovation capacity can be expanded and strengthen through settlement of the creative mind-set and through specific techniques. It can be augmented by some routines, because your creativity is a result of your good work habits.

I agree with a leading authorities in the subject as TWYLA THARP, EDWARD DE BONO, MICHAEL MICHALKO, CAROL LLOYD, TOM KELLEY and others, that people should work hard on establishing some structure in their life to get the most out of a creative process. Following skills need to be developed: associating (linking together ideas that are not obviously related), observation, questioning, networking and experimenting.

 

What is Creativity Coaching?
It is a process of driving creativity throughout your business, or project, or organization, helping an individual become more open to ambiguity, curiosity, complexity in order to develop his/her ingenuity via keeping in touch with an original impulse to create.

I am fan of the systemic approach to the idea of creativity, which seems not to be a systemic category at all. I am following my 10-STEP METHODOLOGY. It is a road map that could guide each person to touch his/her full potential.

Can a Creativity Coaching Be Applicable To Private Entrepreneurs?
Yes, it can. Private Entrepreneurs are creators and innovators of their businesses. There are some professions that cannot survive without the brilliance and thrill of unleashed creativity. Entrepreneurial work is one of these, which highly require the creative process. With the creativity coaching process entrepreneurs could think over how to grow their businesses, create a dominant strategy, improve performance, productivity and be more effective regardless of the economy. Some business owners may see a need for focusing on innovative off-the-shelf solutions for common client problems, to set new strategic directions, define new action plan and implementation process for the new business model.

When is Creativity Coaching Appropriate?
The process is appropriate when individual/team is committed to the process and to the change that will follow, and is willing to invest time, money and effort to make it work. It involves two people: a coach and a person working together. Coach works mainly through asking questions.

When is Coaching not appropriate?
Coaching is not applicable when the person is depressed or experiencing problems associated with phobias or addictions. Coaching works with high-performing people. It is not therapy, meant to "fix" a person.

What is an average number of sessions dedicated to one Creativity Coaching project and how much time does it take?
Number of sessions depents on the each and every project, but usually consists of 6 up to 8 sessions.

How often are Coaching sessions to be organized within one single project?
Coaching sessions usually take place every 3-5 weeks, thus the whole project can take approximately 6 up to 9 months. This is an optimal scenario, which has a neurological justification, as the process started during the sessions is permanently continued on conscious and subconscious level in the coachee’s mind between the sessions.

What is the way we can work together?
We can work in different ways, although I prefer to work with my clients in person as the personal interaction is helpful in coaching process and builds a safe, trusting environment. We can work also over the phone or skype.
